Webshots reflecting my most recent trips: a
2006 trip down to the Gulf of Mexico, a 2007 family trip West and another
2007 trip this fall covering areas in the MidWest.
Words of Wisdom!
"Don't listen to the negative people in your life.
They will only bring you down."
(Been there, done that.) Take the time to enjoy the beauty
in the things around you.
Life is too short; enjoy what you can,
while you can. I
recently heard this saying in a movie I watched....
"Live every day as though it is the last
one, because some day, it will be."

| Once upon a time, not so long
ago....well, OK, maybe it has been a few years ago...OK, OK, so it was a
lot of years ago.......Are you happy now?

A little girl was born in Kansas
City, May of 1950 (...you do the math). Her parents named her Connie and that little girl was
me. I grew up in the same basic area, graduating from Oak Park HS in
1968. After I got married, I gave up the big city for a small town
existence. |
I now live in a small town outside of Kansas City in the Show-Me State of
Missouri.
After lots of years of becoming nothing more than a number in the big
corporate world, I have joined a small family owned business of 10.
What a cultural change, but I hope to never have to go back to the corporate
environment. My background is in computer software and I am now
working with software programs running postage meters, which is what my new
company sells and services.
I have been divorced since 1991, so I have had to learn to be very independent. And
it hasn't always been easy, but I have managed to survive. |
My wonderful family,

My life consists of (but not limited
to and not necessarily in this order):

River City Players (RCP) - the community
theater group I have been involved with since it's inception in 1982,
although I am taking a break after 20 years |
| Travel - something I very much enjoy
doing, although I don't get to go as much as I would like. Hopefully there will be a lot more
opportunities in the future |
| My family - 2 sons and 2 daughters and their
significant others, along with 7 of the most fantastic grandkids a
person could want |
| My home - I take great pride in what
I have been able to accomplish on my own |

Lastly, my work - a necessary evil :-) But, without my job, some of the above would not be nearly as enjoyable.

| One of the highlights of the year is July
4th....this has ALWAYS been one of my kids favorite holidays. A
couple of
years ago, what did we do different? How about a rousing game of
mud volleyball? (OK, that is me in the red, if you can't
tell....) |
