Originally, this small Echo division was installed at the
top of an elevator shaft. It spoke through a stained glass window,
and its tone drifted down four stories to the main entry hall of the Gould
home. Now, in more modest surroundings, it perches atop of a built
in cabinet at the rear of the music room. It is about 35 feet from
the other pipes at the front of the room. It will be enclosed by glass doors with a set of horizontal swell shades near the ceiling.
The enclosure will subdue the sound. When finished, the "Echo"
will sound somewhat distant, and should add a charming feature to this installation.
