At first glance, this house does not seem very impressive except for its
location. A closer look reveals that the scaling of the structure
hides its large size. Observe the window height on the first floor
and compare that to the people walking on the sidewalk. A casual calculation
puts the window height at almost ten feet! Another perspective is to
compare the storefront on the left with the entry of the Gould home. Clearly,
this house was very large.
Several years after the organ was removed, the house was razed. An office
building took the valuable land. The event was reported in the New
