Jerry Rowden, the owner of Jerry's Instrument Shop, has a Bachelor of Music Education from Emporia State University (Kansas), has taught instrumental music in elementary and secondary public schools, earned a Vocational Certification in Musical Instrument Repairing from Trindidad State Junior College (Colorado) and has been repairing musical instruments in Columbia, MO since 1984 for various music companies.
Jerry is a Certified Straubinger (TM) Pad Technician and is a memeber of the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians (NAPBIRT).
Kristi Larsen, head of piano sales for Jerry's Instrument Shop, and wind instrument technician, holds a Master of Music in piano performance, pedagogy and literature from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from Illinois State University. In addition to her active piano studio, Kristi enjoys collaborating with other musicians in the community and is also the pianist for Broadway Christian Church. Kristi is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs and National Guild of Piano Teachers.
Todd Yatsook, wind instrument repair technician, has been repairing instruments since 1987. Todd has been teaching private trombone lessons for over 30 years. Playing credits include over 50 musical productions and bass trombonist with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra for 16 seasons. He is the founding member of the Big Bang Brass Quintet and is currently lead trombonist with the Columbia Jazz Orchestra.
Jerry's Instrument Repair, LLC opened in May of 2007 and since 2016 has been doing business as Jerry's Instrument Shop.
