Jerry is a hobby Mandolin builder with a wood working shop in his home basement. The Rowden Mandolins are completely hand built execept for the hardware and the bridge. Everything else is formed with chisels, saws, scrapers, etc by hand.
These pictures are of Rowden Mandolin serial number 2. The top is hand carved from Red Spruce and the back is hand carved Walnut. The neck is carved of Maple and the headstock veneer is Paduuk. The Rowden Logo and fingerboard markers are inlaid Mother of Pearl. The fingerboard is Rosewood. The frets and fingerboard are arched to a 12 inch radius. This instrument is fully bound and features Grover brand reverse tuners.
Serial number 3 has been sold and serial number 1 is too bad to show in public. Serial number 4 was a commissioned piece and is done.
