What is SFOC?

Located just southeast of Mexico, Mo, in central Missouri, Scattering Fork Outdoor Center is a non-profit educational facility dedicated to providing personal growth through outdoor education. We specialize in building confidence, self-worth and teamwork. We increase communication and leadership skills while instilling an awareness of the environment and an appreciation for the great outdoors.

What We Offer:

  • Low Ropes and High Ropes Courses that build teamwork and confidence through mental and physical challenges.
  • Primitive Overnight Camping right on the site.
  • Native American Programs that center our authentic, life-size tipi.
  • Environmental Education activities as well as developed nature trails.
  • Special Events like the Owl Prowl, Wild in the Spring, Wild Flower Walks, Wild Edible Sessions, and Grandparent's Day as well as Halloween Happening.
YOU Set Your Goals and We Tailor A Program to Your Needs
Tell us what your group needs and we'll draw on our expertise and extensive course to tailor a half-day, full- day or overnight program to get the job done. Our trained and certified staff take pride in crafting events that target a specific group's goals and needs.
