Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love,

Where there is injury, pardon;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

The Serenity Prayer

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, accepting hardship as the pathway to peace Taking as Jesus did, this sinful world as it Is, Not as I would have it. Trusting that you, O Lord, will make it right if I surrender to your will, so that I may be reasonably happy in this Life and supremely happy in the next. Amen.
