Office Hours - The rental
office is open seven days a week except for Thanksgiving, Christmas
Eve and Day, New Year's Eve and Day. No Check-Ins or Check-outs on
these days. Office hours are 9AM-9PM.
Reservations - Upon
booking, advance payment representing 2 nights is due in the office
within 10 days of making your reservation. If payment is not received
within 10 days, your reservation is automatically canceled. When
making your remittance by check or money order please be sure that the
name the reservation is under can be found on your check/money order,
along with the confirmation number and dates of stay. Your balance,
including local taxes of 12.5% (state sales tax 9.5% and county
lodging tax 3%), and $30.00 Reservation Fee
and a $25.00 Damage Waiver
is due 30 days prior to your arrival date. Reservations made less than
30 days prior to actual check-in require full payment made via credit
card, or cashier/certified check or money order mailed overnight to
the office. We reserve the right to set minimum night stay
requirements for certain times and minimum occupancy requirements.
Cancellations -
All cancellations or reservation
changes incur a $50.00 fee, except for upgrading.
If you must cancel your reservation within
30 days of your
arrival, and haven't purchased Trip Cancellation-Interruption
Insurance, we cannot refund your advance payment unless the chalet is
re-rented for the entire period and prepayment has cleared. If the
chalet is re-rented for the entire period and pre-payment has cleared,
you will only be charged the $50.00 fee. Once your reservation is
confirmed, any cancellations, changes of dates or switching of homes
will invoke the cancellation policy.
Peace of Mind/Damage Waiver -
Guests are responsible for any damage that occurs during
occupancy. However, damage waiver protection in the amount of $25.00
is included in the total price of the reservation. Details of the
plan and its limits of liability will be enclosed with your written
confirmation. The Damage
Waiver is Non-Refundable.
Arrivals: Check-in for
our guests is 3:00 PM. Our housekeepers need every minute of the
11:00 AM to 3:00 PM window to ensure the cleanliness of your vacation
home. We make every effort to ensure the chalets are clean and ready
for occupancy by 3:00 PM. Do not plan on buying groceries before
check-in. We cannot let you in early nor can we provide refrigeration
facilities. In unusual circumstances, for whatever reason, it may be
necessary to delay occupancy beyond 3:00 PM, until your home is ready.
If you anticipate arrival after 9:00 PM, or if other members of your
party will be arriving late, please notify us ahead of time so that
arrangements can be made to leave keys and directions.
OPTIONAL Trip
Cancellation/Interruption Insurance - For your convenience
and protection, the cost of a travel protection plan covering the
amount of your rent in the event you must cancel your trip within 30
days of your arrival is offered as an optional charge. If you choose
this insurance, the details of the plan will be sent with your written
conformation.
Pet Policy- NO PETS ARE ALLOWED! Any
guest found with a pet will be evicted with no refund.
Departures - All good
things must unfortunately end! Check-out is promptly at 11AM, NO
EXCEPTIONS. Before you leave, read and follow the Check-out
procedures, found in your chalet. It is very important to ensure all
doors and windows to the home are locked. You can contribute to our
Food Pantry by giving any unopened, nonperishable items upon
check-out. All items are taken to those in need. Drop off keys in our
office. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR EARLY DEPARTURES!
Check-out Procedures:
-Remove all trash from the chalet and place in outside receptacles.
-Clean and re-shelve all dishes, or place in dishwasher and begin
cleaning cycle.
-Clean out refrigerator.
-Close and lock all windows and doors.
-Return keys to our office by 11:00 AM
Occupancy - The occupancy
of each chalet is designated on the individual confirmation
descriptions. This number, as it appears on your confirmation lease,
is the MAXIMUM total occupancy. Children are counted in total
occupancy unless they are under age two and normally sleep in cribs.
Over-occupancy is considered a SERIOUS VIOLATION of your lease and you
will be asked to leave. Any guest having house parties, found with
nonpaying overnight guests, disturbing neighbors with loud unnecessary
behavior or found with a pet will be evicted with no refund and/or
prosecuted.
Age Requirements - We
will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age
unless accompanied by an adult or parent. No unchaperoned groups.
Leaseholder Responsibilities -
Many of you will vacation with other couples, other family members
or friends, but only one signs the lease. We will hold the leaseholder
responsible for payment and other facets of the leaseholder
responsibilities spelled out in the lease.
Some items to bring that we do not furnish and may make your
stay more enjoyable are:
1. Kindling or starter logs and paper and matches for the wood burning
fireplaces.
2. Laundry detergent for washer/dryer.
3. Charcoal and lighter fluid for charcoal grills.
4. Flashlight.
5. Salt, pepper, sugar, etc.
Keys - You will be given
two sets of keys at Check-in. Please be sure to return both sets upon
Check-out. If either set is not returned, we will charge $25.00 at
departure. We don't want your money, we just have to maintain tight
key control.
Mountain roads can be rough at times.
We do not guarantee any road surface conditions. Most roads are well
maintained but are curvy and steep. It is strongly recommended that
all guests have four wheel-drive and/or chains. Winter road conditions
and maintenance are not guaranteed. We do not refund due to road
conditions.
Maintenance - The
maintenance staff are here to help you and provide timely service.
Please respect that emergencies take precedence! If you have an
emergency, call our emergency maintenance number 277-2864, this is for
emergency maintenance situations only, leave your message on our voice
mail and we will respond back to you, for non-emergency calls, call
277-2863, leave your message on our voice mail, and we will schedule
your request the next day.
Pools and Hot Tubs - Hot
tubs are cleaned between guests on turnover day. Should you want an
additional midweek clean, we'll be happy to arrange it for you at your
expense. The swimming pool is open beginning Memorial Day weekend and
ending with Labor Day weekend. The pool is open from 10 a.m. until
7:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
on Friday and Saturday.
Telephones - The chalets
are equipped with telephones for your convenience and safety. The
phone number to the chalet appears on your lease under the heading
'unit phone #'. The phones have block outs for direct long distance
calls. Bring your calling card or credit card.
Lost and Found - We make
every effort to locate and return lost items but will not be
responsible for things you lost that we don't find! If you leave
something behind, call the office and we will return it C.O.D. if we
find it! Lost and found items unclaimed after thirty days are turned
over to local charity.
Accommodations - From
time to time, there may be trouble with utilities (electric, water,
cable, etc.). We will do what we can to get utility companies to
respond quickly and they are usually very responsive to our needs.
Every effort will be made to remedy 'unpleasant' situations. All
efforts are made to correct any problems you may experience in as
timely a manner as possible. Recompense will not be issued due to
malfunctioning equipment or other guest dissatisfactions.
